Speech

All MMBA students have the opportunity to audition for speaking parts in the Christmas and spring concerts, as well as for various performances throughout the school year.

Speech Competitions

In addition to speech classes offered at the secondary level, students in grades 4-12 have the opportunity to audition to compete in speech categories for the Illinois Association of Christian Schools (IACS) Fine Arts Tournament. Possible areas of involvement include the following:

  • Debate
  • Dramatic interpretation
  • Duet acting
  • Declamation
  • Religious reading
  • Humorous interpretation
  • Oral interpretation of poetry

High school students will have the opportunity to compete at the state and national levels.
